WINTER HOBOKEN EVENTS (DECEMBER, JANUARY & FEBRUARY)

Hoboken City Hall Holiday Crafts Fair – December – Hoboken City Hall fills it’s three floors with an eclectic mix of art, photography & beautiful handcrafted gift items.

Hudson Restaurant Week – January & July – Hudson Restaurant Week is a dining promotion twice a year when the restaurants are usually slow. You pick a participating restaurant, make a reservation or visit restaurant, and enjoy a discounted meal.

Jersey City Fashion Week – January & September – JCFW’s purpose is to celebrate fashion and entertainment, highlight businesses in Jersey City and to create an opportunity to give back to the community by fund-raising for charity.  JCFW will spotlight some of the most imaginative and talented emerging designers all while giving industry insiders and fashion lovers a glimpse into Jersey City’s vibrant social and cultural scene.

SPRING HOBOKEN EVENTS (MARCH, APRIL & MAY)

Hoboken Irish Festival – March – Taking place along the Hoboken waterfront, the Hoboken Irish Festival features live music, step dancing, a hurling exhibition, an Irish flag raising, food and drink, and much more.

Spring Hoboken Arts & Music Festival – May – Washington St is closed between Observer Highway and 7th St to host the Art and Music festival The festival features music on three stages, over 300 artists, crafters, photographers, sculptors, local businesses, restaurants, food vendors, local non-profits & more.

Annual Hoboken Baby Parade – May – Hoboken’s babies venture out in their finest attire, toddlers flaunt their cutest costumes, and parents create wondrous mini-floats atop carriages and wagons.

SUMMER HOBOKEN EVENTS (JUNE, JULY & AUGUST)

Free Kayaking Days at The Maxwell Place Boathouse – May to September – Experience the Hudson River as well as amazing views of the New York City Skyline.  These Kayaking embayment programs take place close to shore, at the Maxwell Place beach. Programs are free and take place in a small bay area.

Movies Under the Stars – June to August – Wednesday nights are movie night at Pier A Park.

Our Lady of Grace Funfest – June – The “FunFest” is a family event which includes children’s rides and activities, retail and food vendors, 50/50 raffles, music and a book sale. “NiteFest” includes a biergarten and live music in the OLG church parking lot.

Hoboken Secret Garden Tour – June – The Hoboken Historical Museum’s Annual guided two-hour tours of up to 10 hidden horticultural gems.

St. Ann’s Italian Festival  – July – Enjoy Italian food like St Ann’s famous zeppole, music, rides, crafts, raffles, and games. Nightly entertainment on 2 stages. On Saturday, the festival will open at 10 a.m. with a Mass, and then a 600-pound statue of St. Ann will be carried through the streets of Hoboken.

FALL HOBOKEN EVENTS (SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER & NOVEMBER)

Fall Hoboken Arts & Music Festival – September – Washington St is closed between Observer Highway and 7th St to host the Art and Music festival The festival features music on three stages, over 300 artists, crafters, photographers, sculptors, local businesses, restaurants, food vendors, local non-profits & more.

Hoboken Italian Festival, Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri – September – The Hoboken Italian Festival, the premier Italian-American festival in the New Jersey tri-state area, is nearly 85 years old, and is derived from a festival in Italy that is over 600 years old. The festival occurs yearly, the weekend after Labor Day, for 4 days at beautiful Sinatra Park, on the historic waterfront of Hoboken, NJ.

Hamilton Park BBQ Festival – September – Hamilton Park BBQ Festival is an annual fundraising event at Hamilton Square, Jersey City. Full of BBQ, vendors, live bands, fun and excitement, proceed from this event benefit the Hamilton Park Conservancy.

Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City – October – The festival was created April of 2010 by several long standing residents of Jersey City to promote independent filmmakers and to showcase Jersey City.

Annual Hoboken House Tour – October – Historic or modern, Hoboken’s homes have an individual style. See up to ten beautiful brownstones and condos in this annual rite of fall.

Annual Hoboken Pet Fair & Parade – October – Each year, more than 100 pet owners–mostly dogs, but occasionally a courageous cat or a brave parrot–come out to enjoy the fair, featuring 20 local pet service providers, to march in the parade, and to compete for prizes in categories such as Best Costume, Best Group Costume, Best Trick and Best Pet-Owner Look Alike.

Liberty Humane Society’s Bark in the Park – October – The event kicks off with a half-mile dog walk that fundraisers take part in around Hoboken that concludes at Church Square Park for the festival.

Hoboken Ragamuffin Parade & Costume Contest – October – Don your Halloween costume and line up for the Ragamuffin Parade on Washington St. & 13th Streets.  From there march down to  the Little League Field on 5th St. & River Terrace for the costume contest where prizes awarded in several categories and age groups.
