The second quarter of 2017 brought more of the same to the local real estate market. Low inventory continues to lead to increasing prices and often long searches for buyers.
The 4th of July holiday typically marks the start of the summer slowdown lasting through Labor Day. However if the past few summers are any indication, the market is likely to remain active throughout vacation season. With low inventory and a competitive buyer’s market, we are seeing more home searches carry on through the summer as buyers give up some nice weather to keep on top of the latest listings. With inventory remaining tight, seasonality has become a thing of the past.
